WILL EYELASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?
Correct technique and premium products will not damage your natural lashes. It is imperative to the health of your natural lash to have each lash correctly isolated when an extension is applied. This is to ensure proper separation so that the natural lash can continue to grow and shed as they naturally would.

WHY DO I NEED INFILLS EVERY 2-4 WEEKS?
Infill appointments are required to maintain your extensions. A natural lash growth cycle is 60-90 days. All lashes are at different stages of growth, some new and some due to shedding naturally ( we lose between 2-5 natural lashes per day). When they do shed, the extensions will shed with them, thus the extension will need to be replaced. During an infill appointment, we will remove any extensions that may have grown out due to lash growth, then fill new lashes with extensions to achieve a full set.

ARE LASH EXTENSIONS SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE?
Eyelash extensions are suitable for most people. We will discuss your lifestyle factors, any allergies, medications with you during your consultation, as some of these factors may affect the longevity and retention of your extensions. We will discuss with you our recommendations for style, length, and volume.

WHAT WILL AFFECT MY LASH RETENTION?

• Humidity and exposure to water (saunas, spas, swimming).

• Lack of proper cleaning and brushing

• Natural oils and oil-based products. Oil is your enemy when it comes to extensions. Oil breaks down the glue which may result in poor retention.

• Sleeping. Sleeping on your back, using a silk pillowcase, and wearing a concave sleep mask may help.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN ALLERGIC REACTION?
All products we source and recommend are of the highest quality. Although rare, anyone can have a reaction to any product at any time. For this reason, we offer free patch testing to all clients if they chose. We apply a few extensions to each outer corner of your eye that are the same size as your natural lash. We will test extensions, glue, gel pads, tape, and lash/ brow tint and wax during this consultation. This must be performed within 48 hrs of your scheduled appointment. Please note that this will not guarantee that you won’t have a reaction to these products in the future

PRE CARE

• Please arrive 10 mins prior to your appointment and with no eye makeup on or around your eyes. We always cleanse and prime lashes prior to every application. However, if you have excessive eye makeup we need extra time to thoroughly remove this to ensure the best possible lash adhesion. We prefer to use your valuable time applying for beautiful extensions, not wasting it removing makeup

• Remove contact lenses prior to application. You will be able to resume wear once extensions have been applied

• Please refrain from coffee and caffeinated drinks a few hours prior to your appointment. Caffeine may cause your eyes to flutter and twitch, making it difficult to isolate your lashes for extension application

POST CARE

• Oils break the glue bond from your eyelash extension to your natural lash. If the glue bond is weak, you'll lose lashes! With this in mind, choose oil-free facial cleansers and lotions.

• Do not rub or pull lashes

• No mascara or eyeliner, even on your lower lashes, as this transfers to your upper lash line. If you prefer to wear eye makeup, please let us know as we can recommend products that are suitable for extensions

• Comb lashes daily with a lash wand. This will maintain their shape and direction

• Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse! We cannot stress enough how important this is to the health of your natural lash. Beautiful lashes not only require the skill of a lash technician, but also a strict cleansing and aftercare routine. Oil is your enemy when it comes to extensions. Makeup, sunscreen, dead skin cells, pollutants can all cause a build-up of oils on your lashes. Improper cleaning can also lead to lash mites and nasty infections, leading to inflammation and loss of lashes. A full list of aftercare procedures will be discussed with you during your consultation.

• Please remember the extensions need love and care. Although durable and safe when applied correctly, they are not indestructible. If you are uncertain of anything regarding your lashes, please contact us.
